About Me

I am a Cumbria based graphic designer with over a decade of experience working both in house and within a design studio. During this time I have collaborated with a wide range of clients from large multinational companies, to smaller, more local businesses.

I have a strong background in design for both print and digital and have experience with web development and motion graphics work. Recently I have become more focused on branding, web design and digital media.

My Life

My Experience

I was brought up in the small village of Scales, just outside the market town of Ulverston and lived there until moving to Newcastle to undertake my degree. In 2016 I moved back to Cumbria and now live in the village of Lindal-in-Furness. I can most often be found with either a sketchbook or camera close by and enjoy dreaming up and developing new project ideas.

As a keen cyclist and hiker I love spending my spare time enjoying all the Lake District has to offer. This has also been a key element in my decision to move back to the area.

Work Experience

Coffee Design

Jan 2022 – Present
A Conceptual and Strategic Design Studio.

I was excited to return to Coffee Design at the start of 2022 in the role of Senior Designer. I am currently working across a range of interesting projects for various clients. I am really enjoying being back.

Hotfoot Design

Apr 2019 – Dec 2021
Specialist Web Design and Brand Agency.

As a Creative Lead at Hotfoot I work across a wide range of different projects and clients. I have a particular focus on branding and web design. My role often involves meeting with clients in order to assess their design needs, this could be related to a rebrand, new website or ongoing design work.

Wax Lyrical

Jun 2016 – Apr 2019
The UK’s Largest Home Fragrance Company.

While at Wax Lyrical I worked within the Design and Product Development team. I mainly worked across product and packaging design projects, branding, editorial layout and POS. I was also involved with the art direction of lifestyle photography and 3D visualisations.

Coffee Design

Nov 2013 – Jun 2016
A Conceptual and Strategic Design Studio.

While working at Coffee the projects I worked on were varied and covered such areas as website and app design, email templates, branding and brochures. I produced design concepts and subsequently presented them, both internally and to external clients.

Start Fitness

Aug 2011 – Nov 2013
A Chain of Sport Shops and eCommerce Sites.

I was employed as Lead Designer and worked on all of the marketing across the in-house brands, Start Fitness, Football, Cycles and More Mile clothing. This consisted of both online and print based material such as magazine adverts, brochures and POS for the retail shops.
